Project Details

  • Project Description:

Have you ever broken a bone, had surgery, been diagnosed with a chronic illness, or just felt the aches and pains of bad posture or physical labor? Or maybe you’re the parent of child with a disability. If so, hopefully you’ve had the experience of getting a quicker and better recovery with help from a physical therapist. A good rehabilitation experience can be life-changing.

In much of this country, especially the poorer western areas, physical therapy is almost completely unknown. Persons with disabilities are not living the life they could. Post-surgical patients are remaining immobile for 40 days resulting in muscle atrophy and stiffness. Easily treated aches and pains are rendering people unable to work and care for their families.

This project addresses these physical problems through skilled physical therapy while also dealing with the spiritual needs of these poor, minority communities inside their own homes. We work through local believers whenever possible to provide translation into minority languages, cultural insight, and an ongoing connection for sharing the gospel. Our aim is not only to provide the expert skill, but also to train and empower local believers to provide a tangible experience of God’s love with a gospel witness.
