Project Details

  • Project Description:

Tangibly demonstrate the gospel to East Asian ethnic minorities by underwriting the costs of medical screening clinics and training local Christians to serve these communities through meeting health needs. Once local Christians are taught the skills needed to enter an ethnic minority community, they will address physical needs and share the gospel broadly with the largest unreached people group in East Asia.

A special emphasis is providing private, in-home, cervical cancer screening for 1,500 ethnic minority women who rarely, if ever see a doctor because of their religious practices and fear. Most marry in their teens and develop serious health issues by their mid-30s. By the time they acknowledge the problem many already have stage 4 cervical cancer. The home visits offer opportunities to share the gospel with one of the largest unreached people groups in East Asia. Your gift will help local believers show God’s love and share the gospel through medical clinics in an ethnic minority community.

  • Cultural Information:

This country has a 5,000 year history with rich culture and traditions. This includes ethnic mnority traditions from as far back as the 7th Century. Minority groups are generally warm and hospitable. Less than 1% have heard the gospel message.

  • Geographic Information:

This project is located in many communities all throughout the country, primarily in the  rural western area with a very dry climate with high elevation. Christians throughout the country are ready to be equipped to reach ethnic minorities, both in their community and beyond.
