One Cup Of Water
Provide clean water for families, schools and villages in rural China. Villagers and national believers are distributing water filters or building water tanks and laying pipes in rural villages. You can help provide clean water and LIVING water to people who have never heard the Good News.
Water is a key ingredient to life. But clean, safe, and abundant drinking water is a luxury in many villages in rural China. Fertilizer and sewer water seeps into water systems and contaminates the drinking water. Some villages do not have water pipes and villagers must walk miles to find water. One solution for creating safe drinking water is to provide ceramic water filters to families. A ceramic water filter removes the harmful bacteria from the water and provides more than enough drinking water for a family.
Local people mostly believe that spirits control everything. This is called Animism. When children get sick from drinking polluted water or just the common cold, parents will take their children to the local witch doctor to appease the spirits in hopes their child will recover.
There are more than 45 million people who live in rural villages in mountains of southwest China. Many villages are very remote and hard to get to by vehicles. More than 200 different people groups live in this region and most have no access to the gospel.
Provide clean water and sanitary latrines for schools, villages and families.
- Ceramic water filter for 2,500 village homes x $55 = $137,500
Water filters for 1 rural school x 5 schools x $1100 = $5,500
Village water tank x 5 villages x $3000 = $150,000
Complete water pipe system for rural village x 5 villages x $10,000 = $50,000
Total request - $343,000
If total donations exceed the financial needs of this project the funds may be used for similar projects in other areas of the world.Give To This Project
